CANNIBALISTIC HORSES BOOK TOUR
SUMMER, 2005
Starting with the Brooklyn release party for my book Welcome to the Land of Cannibalistic Horses, I traveled across the USA hosting readings, giving interviews and organizing larger, multimedia events.
In Brooklyn, I organized the release party at The East River with an open bar sponsored by Brooklyn Brewery. I read from Horses, bands like The Goddamn Rattlesnake and Matt and Kim performed, and Neal Altman gave party-goers free permanent tattoos.
In Berkeley, I read at Black Oak Books with improvisational musical accompaniment.
In Seattle, I organized and promoted a reading event at Wall of Sound/Confounded Books. And later that summer hosted a larger event at The Hugo House where I read, bands like Katherine Hepburn's Voice and Under The Influence performed, and again we had free permanent tattoos.
In Los Angeles, I partnered with radio station KXLU to host an event at Wacko Soap Plant where I read from the book, KXLU DJs performed, and guests took turns hitting Cannibalistic Horse piƱatas.
