Each summer, The Northside Festival celebrates the best of music, film, art and innovation for seven days and nights across dozens of venues in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Northside Festival

Since 2012 I have worked as Creative Consultant for the annual Northside Festival celebrating the best of music, film, art and innovation through seven days and nights across dozens of venues in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

I have booked music showcases at venues like The Music Hall of Williamsburg and presented lectures and panel discussions at The Brooklyn Brewery and The Wythe Hotel.

Northside Festival Saves Brooklyn Bands the Airfare to Austin

NEW YORK TIMES -- Now in its fifth year, the Northside Festival, running from Thursday through June 20, has grown into a compact and intensely Brooklyn counterpoint to South by Southwest. The festival will feature 400 bands, three quarters of them local, appearing at 30 clubs, from dives like the Trash Bar to the Music Hall of Williamsburg. Like the Austin organizers, the Stedmans have added a four-day film festival and a two-day expo and conference for high-tech entrepreneurs, called NExT.

Uber CEO talks funding, regulation and what really happened during NYC free taxi week

FORTUNE -- On-demand car service Uber is not currently raising new venture capital funding, according to comments made by CEO Travis Kalanick last Friday at the Northside Festival in Brooklyn. It also hasn't raised any new capital since late 2011, nor have its early employees or investors sold any shares via "secondary" transactions.

This comes nearly two months after Kalanick first disputed a Reuters report that Uber was raising new money at a $1 billion valuation.
